Chili

I can't believe it! In one week I won 2 great prizes from 2 different blogs. I won myself a brand new Kitchenaid, which I am so excited about. I also one myself 4 personal training classes! Haha! Did you read my post on exercising?!?! I am going to die. It shall be fun, anyway. It just goes to show that people really do win these draws! I had to share you this great news before I posted my dinner from last night:)
Chili, mmm mmm. Chili is a great choice because it can be served so many different ways. My favourite way is over top of white rice. We also eat it with potato wedges or on top of nachos. Last night we went with the potato wedges because that is his favourite and I was being a good wife:)





Brown and drain 1 lb ground beef in a pan




Add in one chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, season with salt and pepper




 While your onion is cooking open up a can of the following; Old El Paso chilis, beans in tomato sauce, kidney Beans, tomato paste, and a can of diced tomatos


Pour the contents of your cans into your ground beef



Add a heaping tbsp of chili powder and a heaping 2 tsp cumin. Season with more salt and pepper if needed. Allow this to simmer for at least an hour. If you like your chili spicy add in 1/2 tsp hot chili peppers


Serve with a side of your choice
